WIMBLEDON RESULTS. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, June 24.—At Wimbledon, in the singles, Lycett beat. Beamish, 8-6, 8-6, 6-4. LONDON, June 25. At Wimbledon, Campbell, a young Irish champion who is a promising Davis Cup candidate, beat Gobert (France) 9-7, 1-6, 4-6, 4-2. Gobert retired on the fourth set, having strained his leg. Kingscote beat Mavrogordato 6-0, 1-8, 6-4. Shimidzu beat Lycett 6-3, 9-11, 3-6, 6-2, 10-8. LONDON, June 26. Herbert Bourke, writing in the "Sunday Telegram,” protests against the Lycett match not being stopped. It is stated that Lycett was suffering from a touch of sunstroke. He may have been plucky, but had to be nursed by the constant sponging of his head, which was unfair to Shimidzu.
