—' MAKURA CLUB. The Croquet Club will close for the season to-morrow (Saturday) afternoon April 23rd. The annual social and dance, at which the trophies won during the season will be presented, will be held as usual, the to be advertised. As the combined Bowling and Croquet Club’s socials proved so successful they will be continued this winter. Tho following are the winners of matches held during the season. Championship ‘ Single. Mrs. Tennent; Junior Championship Single, Mrs. Gillies; Rose Bowl, Mrs. Tcnnent ; Championship doubles, Mesdames Tennent- and McKay ; Handicap Doubles, Mesdames McKay and Wade ; Junior Handicap Doubles, Mrs Bagge and Miss Pratt. ,
