WATERSIDERS’ BALL
HELD LAST NIGHT. ' A GREAT SUCCESS. The \Vatersicle lVorl<ers’ Annual Ball took place in the Town Hall last night. The function was most successful, the attendance being one of the largest that ever gathered in the Town Hall. The circle which was reserved for‘ onlookers was well filled, and all were well repaid for their visit. The stage was tastefully decorated, and the floor in‘ splendid Order. In fact, the whole arrangements were perfect, reflecting the greatest; credit on those responsible. The supper, which was handed round by the ladies committee, was delicious. A feature of the evening was an exhibition of dancing dolls given by Mr. B. Butler. This proved a unique pGl‘fol‘mbl.llc‘-_.-, and was an interesting diversion. The music supplied by M 1: VV. Williams’ orchestra was-as usual, first class, greatly adding to the pleasure of the evening. The Waterside Workers have every reason to be proud of last evening’s function, which was one of the most pleasant, and best conducted dances ever held in Greymouth.
