APPEAL COURT DECISION. “NATIVE’S HARD LOT.” SIR R. STOUT’S COMMENT. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. In regard to the Greymouth Native Reserve, the Appeal Court held that it had no power to order the partition of the land on which, the town of Greymouth is built. | In an additional note Sir Robert Stout, referred to the position the natives were in with regard.to taxation and the small return they received considering the value of the pioperty, and stated that no doubt the Legislature when apprised of their hard case would do something to relieve them.
