CROQUET CLUB.
CITAMPIOSNHIP GAMES. Play has been very keen for the last few weeks. The finals in the champion ship games, both singles and doubles, are being 1 played this week. ' In Ihe championship singles, ill's Tennent plays Mrs Shall-c-rass. Championship Doubles.—Mesdames Tennent and McKay play Mesdames Thomas and Allan Smith. The B Championship was Avon by Mrs Wade after a very closely contested match with Mrs Allison. The club are holding a tournament on Saturday afternoon at 2 P.m., at which the committee hope to see all members and their friends. It will be a general tea day, and Is will be charged for admission. The following is the order of play :—■ Mesdames Mabin and Staffan play Mesdames GriiTen and Topliss. Mesdames Thomas and Hannan plav Mesdames Johnston and Jeffreys. Mesdames Shnllcrass and Chalk plav Mesdames Gillies and Baxter. Mesdames Melvav and Steer play Mesdamns Allison and Cribb. .Mesdames Wilkes and Sherman play Mesdames Ennis and partner. Mesdames Smith and Busk play Mesdames Thomas and partner.
