ANNIVERSARY SERVICES

The anniversary in connection with the Wesley Church on Sunday went oX veiy successfully. There was a fair congregation at the morning service, when the Rev. -T. Dent spoke from Romans 8, verse 28: "The Providence of God as displayed in all things." The choir rendered the anthem, "They Shall Mount Up," and Miss Lawry, Mrs J. White, Mr J. Williams and Mr J. White the quartette, "Sometime Wo" 11 Understand." In the evening the Church was filled, and the service generally enjoyed. The Inangahna Silver Band, under the able condnctorship of Mr S. Austin, were in splendid form, and played the hymns nnd a selectioxi in very pleasing fashion. The Church choir rendered two anthems, "Break Forth into Jov" and "I am He that Liveth" very creditablv. The Rev. T. Dent based his sermon on "The Place and Inspiration of Music and Sour in Life," and also rendered "The Tort Chord."
