On discharge of same she loads coal for Wanganui and sails to-night. The Waimea arrived from Picton, via Westport this morning. She sails to-night with a cargo of coal for Tara.kohe. The Alexander is due to-night from Nelson to load coal for Wanganui. The Kennedy is due to-morrow from Wellington, Nelson and Westport. After discharge of general cargo, she will probably load coal for Picton. The Kini and Karamu sailed this morning for Lyttelton and" New Plymouth respectively. The Kamo and Poherua are still in port awaiting a favourable opportunity to sail. The Kaliika arrived last night and sails to-morrow morning for Wellington, coal and timber laden. The Kokiri arrived last night. She loads coal for Napier, sailing to-night. The Ngakuta will sail for Lyttelton when the bar moderates. The Ngatoro is due from Wellington on Friday, and loads for Bluff. The Ngahere is due from Gisborne on Friday to load for Timaru. Mr. A B. Speakman, late of the Huddart-Parker Company's service, died at Auckland on Friday. Mr Speakman was well known in Auckland shipping circles and to the travelling public some years ago when lie was purser on a number of the company’s steamers. When the company opened a branch olhce in Auckland Air. Sneakman was appointed chief and claims clerk, from which position lie retired about a year ago owing to his health failing Captain Spring-Brown, who went ashore from the Mararoa about a fortnight ago. has taken command of a vessel at Sydney. Captain J. G. S. Poorly has taken command of the To Anau in place of Captain W. J. S. Eyre.
