IN MEMORIAM.
McKAIN.—In loving memory of Private Thomas McKain, who died as the result of wounds received in action in Gallipoli on 23rd July, 1915. In a distant land he lies, At rest in a soldier’s grave, His battle, fought, his name enrolled On the scroll of the deathless brave. A lonely grave in a far off land, A grave wc may never sea; But while life and memory last, We will remember thee. Inserted by his loving sister and brother-in-law, C. and W. 'McKAIN.—In loving memory of Thomas McKain, who died at Malta, from wounds received while serving his country. July 23rd, 1915. In peace he played his part with right good- will; In war he played the game; He heard the country’s rail and answered Like a soldier and a man. Inserted by Jiis loving comrades, the Greymouth Battalion Band. STEWART.—.WiIIiam Livingston Stewart, of Coal Creek. Died July 22nd, 1917. In memory of an affectionate brother, n tribute from his throe sisters, Margaret, Jessie, Annie.
