A farewell social will be tendered to Mrs Honey in the Kokiri Schoolroom on Saturday next, to which all friends are invited. The Point Elizabeth State Collieries Medical Association want for the Rewanni branch a certificated surgical maternity nurse. For further particulars see advertisement. The sixth of the socials held fortnightly at the St. Columba Club rooms takes place to-night, when the same complete arrangements as have made previous socials successful sholud ensure another large attendance. For the dancing M'iss Watson's orchestra will provide the music, and the club's fine floor, dancers will find nothing lacking, while good pi ices are offered for the euchre drive w in addition to the valuable aggregate prizes. Admission prices are: Ladies Is, gents 2s. Attention is drawn to the sale of freehold property advertised by Messrs G. T. Moss and Co., on behalf of Mr W, Yates, which will take place on Wednesday next. The property is centrally situated, and affords a splendid opportunity for securing a really comfortable home. As Mr Yates is leaving for Christchurch on Thursday, no reasonable offer will be refused. Further particulars may be obtained from the auctioneers.
