(Per Press Association.) TKLEGR A PUS IXTFRRUPTED. WELLINGTON, July IS.—Owing to the interruption in telegraph lines, SCO southern messages are being forwarded per Maori to-night. ANOTHER SNOW STORM CHRISTCHURCH, July 19.—The snow storm died down late this afternoon and there ai'o indications to-night of another heavy frost. From several portions of lower Canterbury, the reports are that •weather conditions appear clear on tlie range?., save one of the hills seen from Ashburton. Thus the snow-fall won! i appear to he almo'st entirely confined to Cliristchurch and its neighbourhood. If it heavy' fall was now registered on the back hills the consequences would be disastrous, for in the present condition, the stock and sheep would perish in thousands. There has been no snow at Lake Colei idge. A HEAVY GALE. CHRTSTCHTTRCH, This Day. —The weather has taken another wintry turn. A particularly heavy gale blew last night, and snow commenced early this morning', since when snow . and rain alternated, accompanied by a g-ale of wind. Some interruption has taken place in the telegraph comrmmication with the North Island though the -West Coast lines are si ill avail able.
