At a conference of the Miners' Federation at Bruaf it was decided to accept the Ojal Controller's offer of an increase of Is 6d daily for workers over sixteen and 9d for workers under. It is estimated that the offer involves an annual increase of miners' wages of £20,000,000. • THE ARGENTINE.' STRIKE. THE POSITION WORSE. BUENOS ,AYRES. Sept.' 27. The strike lias grown worse and the pood shortage is acute. Violent clashes have occurred between the strikers and tire police and troops.
