THE SUN. The sun sols to-day at 6.0 p.m. ; rises to-morrow al 5.40 a.in. THE MOON. The moon rises to-day at 1.33 p.m. ; and sets to-morrow at 3.51 a.m, LOCAL REPORT. The maximum temprature recorded yesterday was 62 degrees and the minimum 34 degrees. Al nine o’clock tills morning the barometer registered
29.50 inches, and the thermometer 55 degrees. The rainfall last month was r 6.63 inches on fifteen clays, as compared with 11.44 in. on twenty-three days in August. The rainfall for the past 24 hours was 1.50 inches. WEATHER, REPORT. Westport. —Wind, north-west, light; barometer, 29.52; thermometer, 54; tides, moderate* bar, moderate. Cieymouth—Wind, north-west, fresh breeze; barometer 29.50; thermometer, 55 ; tides, moderate ; bar, rough ; river, strong fresh. THE WEATHER. The indications are for southerly winds, moderate to strong: squally at times. The weather will probably prove cold and showery. The night will probably prove very cold. Barometer rising. Tides good. Sea heavy.
