COAL.CONFERENCE ABORTIVE
SYDNEY, September 20. Contrary to expectations the coal conference failed to agree. Hie Miner.;' Federation rejected tlic Govern meat's proposals, maintaining that a certain clause provided ,for the victimisation of members. Negotiations have been suspended, but notwithstanding this) the Government intends to open all tire mines for the general resumption of work, next Wednesday. Thi.j will give the miners a'n opportunity to obviate the necessity for the further introduction of new labor.
