OBITUARY
MRS. BELL, KUMAR A. [Uy Electric Telegraph—Special to ;, Star."J KUAtARA, This Day. the friends of Mrs. Bell, Alain St., Kumara. will regret to hear of her death, which look place yesterday afternoon at, 5.30 o’clock. Deceased was a very old resident, having arrived in the colony 52 years ago, 42 of which have been spent in Kumara. The late Mrs. Bell was predeceased by her husband nineteen years ago. A sister, Airs. Whitmore, of Greymouth, and a family of two sons and two daughters, viz.. Mr. David Bell, of the Kumara water race office, Mr. Richard Bell, Aliss D. Bell (mistress of the Kumara Public School), and Mrs. Le Compte, are left to mourn their loss. Atrs. Bell, who was born in Ireland, had attained the ripe old a);o of 74 years. Her funeral takes place to-morrow at 2 p.m.
