PRESTON YARDS SALE
At the Central Yards. Preston Road, on Saturday Messrs Mark Sprur and Co. report of their sale as Jallows: The entry comprised 25 fat cattle from Wataroa, the primest entry of beet that has been yarded this year. Two exceptionally fine show bullocks made £3O, and tile remainder brought trojn £26 to £2O. PRICE OF HEMP FIXED. LONDON, Sept. 21. The Armv Council has fixed the maximum prices of New Zealand hemp and sisal fibre in order to secure for the farmers binder twine at a- reasonable price.
