Messrs J. Tennont and G. Weaver, who have been attending the Druids Conference' in Napier, returned last evening. A cablegram has hi'Sti received by Mr and .Mrs .fames Vial, of Dawson's Hotel, .Ri'i'ftun, that their sou, Sapper J. M. Vial, who has beer, an inmate of the 2nd General Hospital, Edinburgh, has been discharged. Corpora] Edwin Jl. Doidge (reported missing, believed to have been killed) is a sou of Mr Edwin Doidge, proprietor of tho Cootannindra Herald, New South Wales, formerly of the Thames. Q..M.-Sergt, Fred. Doidge (formerly chief reporter of the Auckland Star) went away with the 18th Reinforcements, and another brother will nt» shoving with the 23rd Reinforcements.
