German Official; We frustrated British attacks south-east, iof Ypresi and astride the La Basisee Canal, and repulsed French attacks between the Meuse and the Moselle.

ENEMY LOSE HEAVILY
LONDON, February 21. ' Field-Marshal Sir Douglas Haig re. ports;: We seized a portion of trenches north-cast'of Gueudtoourt and entered trenches on a 650 yards’ front south of Armentieres, penetrating deeply and inflicting many casualties. We raided south-east of Ypresi on a 500 yards’ front,. reaching the support lines. Many were killed and dug-outs and mine-shafts were destroyed. Our casualties were light.
A French communique states; There is reciprocal artillery fire in the region of the Butte de McsmT on the right of the Meuse, near the Cauricre Wood, and at Bezonvaiix.
