A correspondent at French headquarters says; The Germans attacking west of Mors ton de (Tampa gne carried a line over a twomile front. This represents again of 800yds. The attack was preceded hy a fierce bombardment. The 'barrage cut oft' the French front line. The suecess-is not disquieting, and the French can retake the'position at will.
