SIR -JOHN FINDLAY WILL STAND. SUPPORTED BY BOTH PARTIES. [mat I’BICSS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, This Day. Sir John Findlay lias, decided to seek election in Hawkes. Bay, and left Wellington for Hastings to-day. Ho states that lie haa received a re. quest numerously signed by people in the district, and was unanimously selected ,by the Liberal League Convention. Ho was also requested to stand by a large number of the Reform Party, and, finally, - his candidature hud the joint approval of Mr. Massey and Sir Joseph Ward. “1 understand,” lie added, “that ' neither officially nor unofficially will there bo any opposition to my candidature on the. part of the Reform Party. I propose? to view the election y entirely on . national lines and in support- of thy present National Government.”
