The Kennedy arrived this morning from Wellington and Westport with general cargo, on discharging which i-he loads timber and sails to-morrow for Moliieka.

The Regulus is due this' evening from Wellington, via -Picton, Nelson and .West-port; with general cargo. She discharges this and loads coal for Nelson and Wanganui.

TJhe Wainiea. is due to-morrow from Wellington, via Picton and West port, with general cargo. . The dredge Mawhera, after undergoing an overhaul, arrive.! in Nelson to-day; and will start dredging there tomorrow. She will be occupied there for one month. THE COASTAL TRADE. MESSRS REESE BROS. Her gross tonnage is 527 tons, an against the Oponri's 571 tons, and she is 165 ft in length, : .26ft in depth,; and has a beam of 12ft''.Sin. .. She- differs from that vessel also in that her hatches are situated fore and aft of the engine room,- instead of being forward. Former]y known as the Tay T.. she has be^nrechristened Orepuki, and was built at Home in 1908 hv Messrs. Goole Bros. Shu is reported as being *a small enn'"nii r, 'ep of coal and capable of steaming at 10 knots. It is .understood that she wis purchased at a reasonable figure, the buyers . beinsr lucky in securing such a vessel in view of, the prcent cost and scarcity of tonnage. She will be used in the timber trade.-
