AUCKLAND. This Day. While cltfininrj n gun early on Sunday afternoon Huerh" Rlinrson, grocer, Mount Roskill, received injuries which resulted in his immoclate death. The deceasedivns 33 vcai'--: of am-, and leaves a. widow and
two children, aged seven and three years. The circumstances of the fatality were inquired into !iy Mr Frazer, S.M. James Charles Devitfc, accountant, residue: at Remnera, said that cleceas?d was his son-in-law*. Witness had been away camping with deceased and his wife and family during the past week. On their return thev found that the deceased had been drinking. He was subject to periodical outbursts of that kind. In the early part of the week he war, very slrikv. but had improved by Friday. After dinner on Sunday lie said 'no was going into his workshop to (dean a gun with the hi-
teniion of selling it. About five minutes later they heard ;i report from tile gun, and on to the door saw the deceased lying on the floor. * The Coroner returned a verdict of accidental death.
