Before leaving for their homes the Willochra's northern contingent addressed the following letter to the Mayor of Dundin : "Your Worship,—Wo leave your city without expressing our deep thanks to you and to all residents who, at so much sacrifice of time, money, and energy entertained us so royally upon' our arrival and during our short stay in Dunedin. We feel that we are now under a bounden duty to' quickly recover from our several ailments and hasten once more to take our places with our comrades at the front.
