GREY MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
- -J - (MONDAY, JULY 5. (Before Mr J. G. L. Hewitt, S.M.) DISORDERLY CONDUCT. Timothy Sullivan was charged with disorderly conductT while drunk on Saturday night in Boundary Street, and also with having used obscene language on the same occasion. Accused pleaded guilty to the first charge, and in electing to be dealt with summarily, said he did not remember using bad language, a thing he had never before been guilty of. The evidence of Constable Carmody having been taken His Worship convicted the accused on both charges and inflicted a fine of £o, in default one month’s imprisonment, EXCESSIVE SPEED. Frederick Thomas Greiner was charged with having on June 23rd last driven a motor cycle across the intersection of Mackay and Taiuui streets at faster than a walking pace. Defendant said he did not remember tho occasion, but would plead guilty. His Worship inflicted a fine of 10s. WANDERING HORSES* For permitting horses to wander on the public roads at Runanga and Dunollie, William Boddy, William Gannon and Frederick Keys were each fined 15s.
