Received this day at 10.55 a.m. LONDON, July 2. Rome '(Official). —The enemy are throwing asphyxiating bombs. Vigorous night attacks at Monte Croce and the Palpiccolo Pass were repulsed. We occupied Bankiarki Srendrini, an important position dominating Onquo Plejzzo, at the head of the Mesi'a Valley. Our advance on Isonzo is slow, as wo arc compelled to wrest the ground inch by inch. 'ltalian airmen effectively bombed a column of troops and supply waggons near Appacbjasella, also the railway station at Sandanile. BRAVE EXPLOIT. ELECTRICITY WORKS DESTROYED, ROME, July 2. Five Alpini volunteered to destroy the electricity works at Tonale waterfalls, supplying Reva, Govoreto, and the neighbouring forts. They crept down the steep rocks at Tonale Gorge for four consecutive nights, carrying mines and dynamite. They succeeded in destroying the central conductor.
