ODDFELLOWSHIP.

LOYAL GREYMOUTH LODGE, U.A.

There was a good attendance of Past Officers and members at the halfyearly summoned meeting of the above Lodge held last evening in the Oddfellow's Hall. ' "' Tlie usual routine business was transacted, aftei* which the summoned meeting was opened and the auditors' report. and balance-sheet presented. The latter showed a satisfactory result despite the fact that the sick pay for the period had been very heavy, viz., £135 as against £lO6 for the corresponding period of last year. 'During the half-year two members had died. Of the funds of the Lodge, amounting to £5,243, £3,675 is invested on mortgage, the interest earned during the half-year amounting to £lls 4s 4d; and £1,474 in the Hall's furnishings. The officers and trustees of the Lodge were congratulated on the successful result of their close attention to the finances of the Lodge in the past, which now enabled them to meet extraordinary liabilities without any difficulty. The procedure adopted by the Board of Directors in connection with members of the Order serving with the His Majesty's Forces was read by the Noble Grand, the accompanying. hymn (set to the air of the National Anthem) being sung by the members present. The installation of officers was impressively carried out by Grand Master Bro. R. Jellie in accordance with the Constitution, P.P.G.M. Bro G. E, Perkins and P.G. Bro. Cunliffe acting as conductors. The officers installed were CM., Bro. W. Holder; N.G., Bro. E. J. Smith; V.G., Bro. J. Baxi row; E.S., Bro. V. O. Lawn; 1.G., Bro. R. Seddon; Warden, Bto. T. East. ... . Prior to the conclusion of the meeting with usual formalities, onei candidate was proposed for membership.
