Rainton No. 6/740 Private Percy George Willis (eldest son of .Mrs Willis, of Greymouth), is returning by the s.s. Willochra, but concerning which the first port of call in New Zealand is unknown. The probable date of arrival is the second week in July. Advice will be forwarded later. A letter received from Private Willis, since lie was wounded at the Dardanelles, stated that he was shot in the instep, and, at the time of writing, he hoped to again see the firing line- l " In reply to enquiries made. Mr R> Wild, of Hokitika, received news yesterday that Sergt, Harry Wild, wounded at the Dardanelles, has he en invalided to New Zealand. Mr W. D. Mackay. of Woodstock, has received a cable from the War Office statins that his son Jack, who was wounded with the Fiji contingent in France, is how convalescent, This will be pleasing news to his many friends. The Governor of Fiji also conveyed, through his private secretary, his Excellency's' and Lady 15scoft's sympathy for "Jack 5 ' and best wishes for his speedy recovery. THE LATE PRIVATE 0 C. GIBBS. Private. Robert H. Booth iOtatjo Mounted Rifles) was admitted to the Pout Do Knbba Hospital from Gallipoli on Thursday of last. week. He and also his brother Leonard, who is in the Field Ambulance, left- New Zealand in the Main Expeditionary Force. They proceeded from Egypt to Gallipoli on the 4th and 16th of April respectively. Their;parents are active in all patriotic movements, Mrs Booth being chairwoman of the Port Chalmers Women's, Patriotic Association and Mr Booth (Rector of the District High School) being secretary of tho Patriotic Committee.

Mr David F. Carnegie, Main South Road, Caversham, has received advice that his son, Private J. K. Carnegie, who was wounded at the Dardanelles, is convalescent and has been discharged from the hospital. Mrs E. Goodlet, Westley Street, has received a cable message to the effect that her son. Private Andrew C. Goodlet, has recovered from wounds received at the Dardanelles, and has rejoined his regiment.

There is a probability that more chaplains will be sent with the New Zealand troops in tho near future, .and the Rev. F. T. Read, of Cargill Road M.ethodiiit Church, is mentioned as going to represent that denomination. Mr Read offered some months ago. He ranks as ChaplainCaptain, and has done excellent work among tho Territorials and Coast Defence men.
