THE BRUNNER STREETS
(To the Editor.] Sir,—l wish, through the medium *>f our paper, to call attention to what I eel sure n st be the complaint of the lajoritv of ihe residents here viz., the bate of the streets of the Brunner Bomigh and the seemingly lax way in .Tiioh the ordinary routine work is varied out. I may say here that the roads hronghoiit the borough are the worst in he Grey Valiev, and I could almost say i New* Zealand, simply lor want of atention and a man to fill in the ruts and lear the roads of water, which is allowed > collect in huge pools in the middle of ho streets. Unless lam wrongly inormed, the Town Clerk’s articles stipuites that ho shall work three days on he road and three days in the office per veek, and I would like to know when the oacl work is performed. Also, I believe hat a pound was arranged for stray attic roaming in the borough, and I hink jt is time that something was done o abate the wandering cattle nuisance; ‘n view of the forthcoming Mayoral camlain, I would like to know what views he candidates for election have on the natter, and whether they intend taking ny steps to alleviate the nuisance, loping that some abler pen than mine nay take this matter up and ventilate ho subject thoroughly.—Yours, etc., DISGUSTED RATEPAYER.
