M'MAHON’S CIRCUS
OPENING PERFORMANCE
McM:«hoi»*s Circus and buckjunipers opened to ;i very good audience last night. The trick ponies, trained by Mr. E. McMahon, were much admired. The wirewalking was exceptionally clever, while the tour performing dogs trained by Miss Lyndliurst were the principal item of the entertainment, the able way in which they turned somersaults, waltzed, stood on "their heads, skipped etc., _ winning rounds of applause. Miss Silbini. who appeared here with the Mysterious Sil binis some mouths ago. gave a very clever exhibition of thought reading. Beiino and Peppo two imported downs, were responsible for screams of laughter with their funny antics and gags. An attempt to mount Cooeo. the outlaw, was made, by a local rider, Mr. Gibbons, but ho tailed. He will attempt to ride Cooeo this evening. The circus as a whole is a very good one, and should do satisfactory business on the Coast.
