HUGE STRIKE PROPOSED

TO PARALYSE THE UNITED KINGDOM.

[PER PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT, j LONDON, October 10. The Miners’ Federation resolved, with one dissentient, on a combination with the big trades unions in order to support each other s demands. The resolution foreshadowed a national strike of- the miners, railwaymen and transport workers not later thaii 1915 if the new programmes arc not secured by other methods. Mr I*. Burton, in seconding the motion, favoured Syndicalism and eyen Nihilism to fight what was being practised at Dublin to-day. This is interpreted in some circles ns a reply to the employers’ proposed £5,000.000 fund. Little'is now heard of the latter.
