/BY TELEGRAPH. —PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) : WELLINGTON, This Day. Shortly before five o’clock this morning, a fire broke out in an unoccupied houscof twelve rooms at Kelburne, owned by Mrs Jane Shule. The flames had a good hold before the brigade arrived. The house,' which was practically destroyed, was insured in the London and Lancasire office for £llOO. The cause of the fire is: unknown . Two hours later Mr Norman Gibbs s seven-roomed residence in Waipupa Road, Hataitai. was partly destroyed by fire. No one was in the place at the time, Mr Gibbs and his family being at Plimmerton. The house was insured in the .British Dominion office for £I2OO, and the contents for £550 in the same office, and for £SO in the Royal. The origin of the (ire is unknown.
