IEY TELEGRAPH.——PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) DUNEDIN, This Day.— Francis Henry Morice, District Agent in Duneu..i lur the Public Trustee, and Official Assignee, died suddenly this morning at Elm. Row. While speaking to a business friend he dropped to tho ground and expired. Probably he took the hill too suddenly and over-taxed his heart. [BY TELEGRAPH—SPECIAL TO THE STAR.] DUNEDIN, This Day. j Th© 1 late Mr. Mqrioe, public, trustee at Dunedin, who died so suddenly yesterday afternoon from heart failure, wa-s born in 1851 at La Colle, Canada, and in 1866 was taken by his father to England; He was educated at Chigrell, Essex, and in Germany. He came to Lyttelton by the Melita in 1867 and worked on a sheep run. In 1872 ho joined the police force ; was promoted to sergeant in four years and was for a while sergeant-in-charge -at Christchurch. Lyttelton and Wellington. Afterwards ho was acting SergeantMajor. He left the force in 1892 to join the public Trust Office. He opened the Grey mouth district agency, and after twelve months there was transferred to Dunedin where he nas managed ever since- Mr. Morice was a Freemason, a cricketer, and for a while an active member of the Otago Hussars, holding the rank of Sergt. By all with whom he came into contact he was very highly respected. His residence was at Bum Street, Oarisbrook, when© he took a delight in gardening. Mrs. Morice is left with several children.
