The Hawke’s Bay' Jockey' Club's winter meeting opened to-day in fine weather. 'Hie course was in good going order and there was a large attendance. Tire totalisator investments amounted to £11,297, compared with £9,128 for the corresponding day last year, being an increase of £2,169. The following are the remaining results :
