' The Church wardens presented the annual report and halance sheet’ 1 <vhich were received a’ud adopted; The receipts from all sources during the, year . to over £9OO and the expenditure'to about the same amount.* The'deht I 'on the hew vicarage has been reduced -frofri ’£3oo to £240, an old debt on the Sunday: School extinguished and a new, engine for blowing the organ purchased and paid. for. A kind Greymouth friend .had presented the Church .with a Very handsome set of Vessels for Holy Communion. The donor deserves onr best ' thanks. , The best thanks of r the ■ Church were also due to Mrs-Shallcrass and the: ladies who had so * successfully ~ ,collected- - theSustentation Fund, .which -amounted during, the year to over £ll9. \ v" The report went - 'on to state that there had been'a falling off in the contributions through the envelope system, and it advocated the appointment of a special organiser, who would require to work in con/ jnpctjon with Mr A., B. West, ,who 'for some years'"past had been the custodian and registrar of the envelopes; Mr W. -Bray, people’s warden, who read the report, said that the special efforts which had been made to.provide funds for building the new vicarage, .had probably been the contributing cause ,to the slight reduction that was noticeable in the offertories. On the whole, they had every reason to be 'satisfied • with?'the financial progress of the Church. - ■ Mr Isaac- Leech (Supeirutendent of the I Trinity Church Sunday; .School) read the I following report:— ' , 0 i '“Another year has passed away, and once more w'e ihave to present our report of the work ;done on behalf oi the little pones. The teachers’ roll at present stands at 22. ■ . -• “A Teachers’ Preparation Class is. conducted every Tuesday night by the Ven. Archdeacon York and Mr Kelham, to whom we convey our grateful .thanks for the instruction. so given. We should like . to see move of the teachers themselves of this class. ■ : “At the present time - tile prospects of the Sunday School seem very "bright, and •we enter upon another 'year with every confidence that we shall receive a ipll, measure of the Divine blessing.“We have had to take, the collection on
