T’he Englishmen gave a splendid defensive display and the scoring occasionally was painfully slow. Mead and Rhodes, however, were brilliant. Hie Queensland bowling was good, McLaren, Cook and Hayes being particular !v destructive. The fielding was excellent. Queensland opened their second innings confidently the batsmen scoring freely. Jennings gave a, splendid display and was caught off a no ball in the’ early part of the innings. The bowling and fielding were sound. Following arc the scores: — QUEENSLAND.
