Tire, maximum temperature recorded yesterday was 66 degrees, and the minimum for the night was 46 degrees. At nine o’clock this morning the temperature was 58 decrees. The barometer registered 30.10. The rainfall for the 24 hours was 0.25 inches. WEATHER REPORTS. Westport.—Wind, south-west, light; barometer, 30.01; thermometer, 51 degrees; tides moderate; bar smooth. Greymouth.—Wind, south-west, light; barometer. 30.13; thermometer. 56 degrees ; tides good; bar moderate. WEATHER FORECASTS. Last evening the Dominion Meteorologist telegraphed the following weather summary mid forecast:—The barometer rose steadily in the worth during the night, and a storm passed rapidly eastward. The weather unproved everywhere' to-day. Strong southerjlv winds backing up westward have | prevailed, but a westerly gale has con- | tinned in Foveaux Strait. Present indications arc for strong westerly win us i generally, but backing to northerly I and increasing southward of New P)y----i mouth and Napier for westerly low ! pressure due to pass in the south on !
