Last evening the Dominion meteorologist telegraphed the following weather summary and forecast: —“Anticyclonic conditions have prevailed with moderate and variable winds. The barometer lias, however, fallen slowly everywhere to-day. Present indications are for rising easterly and northerly winds, warm and hazy weather, to bo followed by increasing cloudiness, and a change in the conditions to unsettled weather generally. The barometer will probably fall steadily everywhere, and remain low in the south after about twenty-four hours.” The Rev. D. C. Bates (Government Meteorologist) wired at noon to-day as follows: “Winds freshening strong to gale, northerly winds; expect unsettled and cloudy weather increasing and rain probably following; glass fall. A storm area appears to be approaching from the westward; tides good, sea moderate swell.”
