A BATCH OF SPLENDID CREDENTIALS. /
Wo have been favored with an examination of the testimonials which have been given as to Mr T. Otto Bishop’s qualifications as a certificated Mining Manager and consulting Mining Engineer and are in a position to say that there is ample proof in them of the genuine qualifications he is possessed of. He is now acting on his own account his residence being No 35 Murray Street, Greymouth, and is open to give professional advice to any company or individual.
Being an Associate of the Otago School of Mines in the Metallurgical and Mining divisions is a sufficient guarantee as to his ability but his other certificates show that he is a Mine Manager and Battery Superintendent qf the first division of that school by examination. His first credential is from Professor Don who testifies to Mr Bishop having studied in the geological class under him at -the Waitaki Boys High School and had passed in that subject, with exceptionally high honors. Professor Don is a fellow of the Geological Society in England. Mr H. A. Gordon at one time Under-Secretary for Mines for the Government and now consulting engineer for the Paparoa Coal Mining Company writes in terms of the highest praise of Mr Bishop’s ability a,s a Mining Engineer and Mr H. E. Radcliffe, Secretary of the Board of Examiners also gives Mr Bishop the highest possible recommendation. He also possesses credentials of great value from the Consolidated Gold Mines Company of New Zealand, Mr J. M. Bevan Evans,, the Hon R. J. Seddon, Mr Robert Lee Managing Director of the Kaitangata Coal Mining Company, the Shotover Quartz Mining Company Otago, also Mr H. S. Wilson, Chairman of Directors of the Shotover Mine, Mr D. B. Waters, lecturer on Metallurgy at the Otago School of Mines. Mr E. W. Spencer, General Manager of the Progress Mines, who testifies to the excellence of Mr Bishop’s work underground in those mines and Mr J. Park/Mining and Land Surveyor and others.
