RAILWAY OFFICERS' INSTITUTE
A -jcicral meeting of the members of the local branch of'the Railway Officers Institute was held in the Railway So cial Hall on Friday evening. Mr. K. Casey (Branch ('hairnnui) presided and a large number of members were present. Several matters affecting the welfare of railway men generally- were discussed and satisfaction was expressed with the manner in which the committee had carried mil their duties during their term of olhce. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—Chairman, Mr. E. Casey; secretary ami treasurer, Mr. W. Shields: committee, Messrs Low. I'itx.patrick, Pearson, Roberts, Marsh ami Wrav ; delegate to Conference, Mi E. Casey. It was decided to hold the annual meeting for presentation of report and ■ balance sheet on Tuesday, April 12th.
