AUSTRALIA v. MANAWATG. BALMERSTON N-, March 17. The cricket match Australia v. Manawatu, was continued to-day. Kelleway and Emory (the not out men) fared the bowling oi Giver and Coblve. Emery and Simpson were quickly dismissed. The Kelfewav-Smith partnership lesultcd in the -core being taken to 264. Before Smith got l.b.w. to Greer he made 107, including eirjlit sixes, a fiver, and six fours. Both he and Jiardsley played vigorous cricket and landed balls in the middle of the crowded grandstand frequently. Mayne joined BaVdsley and they carried the score to 504. 'when Bardsloy was cleanbowled by Wells, after making 76 uttraetiveiv.

Manawatu's second innings commenced after a delay by heavy rain. The visitors commenced by bowling toft stuff from Hopkins and YVarne, but as time was getting short Whitty and Emery took the leather and Manawatu were dismissed for 113.
