IMPORTATION OF MOOSE.
(By Telegraph—Special to the Star.) WELLINGTON, This Day. li is ten years since Ihc last moose wore liberated on the West Coast and beyond a solitary female the animals have not been seen since. Not long ago footprints supposed to be (hose of moose were seen by a traveller in the Upper Rakdia, but that appears to be the only evidence apart from the solitary "cow" last seen near Hokitka. Yesterday ten moose arrived by the Ulimaroa for the Government arid they are to be liberated in Western Otago. There were two males and two females liberated ten years ago. The animals Arriving yesterday were in good condition and are in the care of Mr. Moorehouso of the Tourist, Department.
