POINT ELIZABETH ACCIDENT RELIEF FUND.
The half yearly, meeting of the Point Elizabeth Accident Relief Fund Friendly Society was held last night in the Druids Hall, Dunollie, Mr J; Glover presiding. After the usual rountine of business was dealt with, the balance sheet was gone over and passed as satisfactory Ihe balance from last audit was £lB2 11s 8d while members contributions amounted to £245 Os 4d making a total of £427 12s. The expenditure was as follows :—Accident and Funeral £270 10s lOd; Management 18 5s 6d; Balance in hand £l3B 5s Bd. Seven members received benefit during the half year. The Coal Miners Sick and Accident Fund Balance sheet, showed the income to have been £435 4s 7d. The expenditure was : Accident £143 Os 5d ; death £SO; total £193 os sd, leaving a credit balance of £243 4s 7d. Sixtyseven received benefit from this fund. The following committee were then elected:—Messrs J. Southward, J. Rostron, H. Coppersmith and J. Barron.
Mr O’Neil having met with an accident to his eye which caused him to have the same removed applied for a full settlement of the funds of the society.
After the case had been thoroughly discussed it was resolved that it be hold over until a future date when other information from a doctor may bo received.
