GREYMOUTH BOWLING CLUB

The monthly meeting of the Greymouth Bowling Club was held in the pavilion last evening. Present—Messrs G. Sampson (chair), Allen, Truscott, Phillips, E. Smith, Forsyth, and Jvilgour. After the confirmation of the minutes, it was resolved that the Secretary write to Mr Collins, of C'hristchurch, ' asking him to forward the top-dressing machine and the grass seed, which was recommended to the Club on his recent visit. The following committees were apnointed : —Selection and Handicapping Committee—Messrs B. Harper, Allen and Kilgour. Works Committee Messrs Jones, Truscott, Sampson and E. Thomas. Mr J. L. Doogan was appointed honorary auditor to the Club. It was agreed by the Committee present that the social take place in the Victoria Tea Rooms on the evening of Wednesday, August 12th, tickets for which may be procured from any of the members.
