GREYMOUTH MAYORALTY.
MR JOSEPH PETRIE SEEKS REjaECTION. At the request of a large number of friends and supporters, Mr Joseph Petrie has decided to seek re-election to the position of Mayor of Greymouth. As is well known, Mr Petrie had the misfortune to be seriously injured in a tram-car accident at Wellington last week, and has since been an inmate of a private hospital, but. is now recovering. In reply to the representations mentioned, Mr Petrie telegraphed, agreeing to be nominated for the position, and trusting that his friends would do their utmost to secure his reelection.- Mr Petrie has boen instrumental during the past twelve months in getting the Greymouth Lagoon Docks started, and he is desirous of seeing them further advanced and carried to a successful issue. Advice from Wellington to-day states that Mr Petrie is a good deal better to-dav.
