A REEFTON WEDDING.

(Our Own Correspondent,) A very pretty wedding wag celebrated at St. Stephen’s Church on Wednesday afternoon, when Miss Ida Emily Pitts, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs Pitts, of Shiel Street Reefton, was married to Mr Frank Hedgeman, of Levin, North Island. Ihe ceremony wa s performed by the Rev. H. York. The bride was given away by Mr E. Nicolson (an old friend of the family) and was attired in a handsome dress of creme silk lustre beautifully trimmed with lace and cream satin and wore the usual wreath and veil and also carried a lovely shower bouquet. The veil was fastened with a handsome gold and greenstone dagger brooch, the gift of the bridegroom The bride was attended by the Misses A. Conway and R. Guinness as bridesmaids, who both wore very sweet dress of white Indian muslin, trimmed with soft white satin and valencenes lace, and hats of rose straw prettily trimmed with chxffono and scarves to match; they also came., handsome bonnets and each wore one a handsome gold brooch and the other a gold bangle the gifts of the bridegroom.. The duties of best man were very ably carried out by Mr G; Hedgeman, brother of the bridegroom. > Among the guests were the bride s mother, wearing a black silk voile and black bonnet with pale pink rosebuds ; Mr s Allerdice (Greymouth) navy blue costume creme trimmings and vest, pale blue hat; Miss Vera Dec, creme delaine dress, large silk hat. ine church was filled with a largo number of friends of the bride, who was a general favourite in Reefton. On the entrance of the bride the mar- '■ riage hymn was sung by the choir and V at the conclusion of the ceremony the Wedding March was beautifully played by Miss E. Hindmarsh. At the conclusion of the ceremony the bridal party were entertained at afternoon tea by the bride’s mother. The happy couple left by afternoon train for Greymouth en route to the North Island. The brides travelling dress was a navy costume with a pretty creme hat. The newly manned couple were the recipients of a large number of costly presents. They carry with them the best wishes of a large circle of friends
