There were 520 applications for seation 2 201 .'teres, on the Mangahao River, three and a-half miles from Hukanui, recently thrown open for selection by the Wellington Land Board. The successful applicant at the ballot yesterday was Mrs Elizabeth Frederick, sen., who elected to take the upland under the occupation with right of purchase system.
