AUCKLAND, May 23.—Inspector Allen and Colonel Davis have returned to Auckland from their investigations in regard to tho Maori prophet To Kua, who was at one time convicted of theft, and is not a relative of To Kooti. Ho has a few unarmed followers. Ho is not well received by many of the natives at tho settlements. He is doing no harm, but makes inroads on the natives’ food supply.
