The usual meeting was commenced this morning. Present: Crs S. R. Harris (chairman), Marshall, Flynn, McCarthy, Ryall, Hannan, Hargreaves, Larkin, and Tindale. The following letters were read and received : From the Mines Department, giving authority for £IOO for Payne's Gully track. From the Mines Department, giving authority for prospecting subsidy of £94 to Duncan Steel. From the Mines Department, giving authority for prospecting subsidy of £IOO to Morris.and Harris. F*.>m the Mines Department, giving authority for prospecting subsidy of £SO to Griffiths and Williams. From the Mines Department, giving authority for prospecting subsidy of £l5O to George Lemon. From the Mines Department, approving of plans for Shellback track. The Council (hen adjourned till this afternoon.
