Tho Rev, Mr Scorgie, who presided over the meeting of householders 111 his letter lo the Board, said: “Sincethe meeting I have found out two or three things that throw light on the whole proceedings. Mr Murray urged his congregation on the Sunday night to turn out to the meeting and put him in. The meeting was packed for that purpose. Several of'the Weslevans present plumped for Mr Murray, and' two other Weslevans who were nominated.
