THE GREYMOUTH POULTRY SHOW.

Slum Continued on Friday. The third annual Show of tho Greymouth Poultry, Pigeon and Canary Club was opened (his afternoon by v<- Worship the Mayor, in the presence of a large number of citizens. Tho Mayor said he was particularly pleased to sec such success attending the efforts of (he Club, which ho trusted would long remain a successful.institution. Tho cages are "arranged in tiers on the main floor, while tho cooking exhibits, and Wickos Limited and the Borough Gas Department’ dsisplays are on tho stage. There are 360 entries in (lie poultry Hass, 52 in pigeons, and 23 canaries. Tho cooking exhibits total 90. Mr H. Wicken, of Reef ton, is to-day engaged judging the cooking exhibits. Mr Maude, who is to judge the other classes, will arrive by the Mapourika to-morrow. Tho exhibits show a good improvement on previous years. A full repurl, will appear in I o-morrow’s issue. Owing to the non-arrival of the judge, through unforeseen circumstances, the Poultry Show will extend over Friday, mid the special train nrangemcuhs made fur to-morrow are cancelled ami will now hold good for Friday instead.
