FRED FOLEY’S PICTURES.
Fred Foley’s Picture Company is advertised to appear at the down Hall, Collingwood, on Monday next, June 6th. Regarding a performance given in Mataura recently the Ensign says : '1 lie pictures shown were of a high order, and free from that annoying flicker evident in some shows of the kind. The film of “ The Life of Napoleon” was most interesting and depicted 1 lie history of the great hero from his rise to his fall. Another interesting film was that of the arrival and reception of Loid Kitchener in Sydney, giving a splendid view of the hero of Khartoum. A very pathetic film entitled 11 Her Happiest Day” was also shown. Probably the most humorous pictures seen in Mataura were those of ‘‘Juggins’ Motor Skates” and ” The Boxing Fever,” both of which kept the audience in roars of laughter. The programme was not confined to pictures only, Mr Fred Foley appearing in'magic and ventriloquism and performing a number of remarkable mysterious and clever teats. Mr A. Lupton was heard to great advantage in his illustrated; songs “Just Seme One” and ‘‘.Monterey.” The whole programme was a very enjoyable one, and Mr Foley’s efforts were deserving of the good reception they 'received. ‘ '
